The Sigma 4‑16KS is available with numerous swing-out and fixed-angle rotors as well as various buckets and adapters, including many biosafe configurations.

The extensive range of accessories can accommodate tubes and flasks from 0.2 ml to 750 ml as well as microtiter and deepwell plates.

The swing-out rotors can hold up to 3 litres (4 x 750 ml) or (for example) 16 x 50 ml tubes. The RCF values achievable with the configurations are best-in-class in this centrifuge segment. Highlights in the area of fixed-angle rotors include a 6 x 250 ml rotor with a maximum RCF of 13,131 x g and the ability to centrifuge 50 ml culture tubes at more than 23,000 x g.

This compact unit has intuitive operation and well-conceived features. The patented Spincontrol S one-knob controller provides superior operating convenience, safety and versatility. The acceleration and braking profiles (30 each) facilitate optimisation of separation runs and yields.
